\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Not long ago, I stumbled across an AI-generated video platform called ‘Maximal Nostalgia’ that focused on short, emotional and nostalgic videos about the 1980’s. The videos, featuring wonderfully detailed recreations of a day or night out back then, tug at my heartstrings every time I see one of them. As in, I see myself in every one! That was MY time in the sun!<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Then I read an article about how the videos COULD lead to people of my generation committing suicide – as if the videos and their ‘maybe it’s time you came back’ themes could cause people to take their own lives, thinking those days were awaiting them, just on the other side of some veil.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0I think that idea is a bit of a reach…<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0But the videos were so enchanting I decided to write a book about them.
